ROM, Read only Memory का short नाम है| ROM कंप्यूटर मे builtin memory होती है जिसका डेटा read only होता है एवं उसमे कुछ भी write or modify नहीं किया जा सकता| Generally, ROM को computer की boot settings के लिए प्रोग्राम किया जाता है एवं इसका डेटा मुख तौर पर कंप्यूटर के boot time मे काम आता है| RAM के विपरीत ROM का डेटा कभी भी नहीं जाता and its परमानेंट |
